The Vancouver Sun interviewed Nathanael Lauster, a UBC sociologist, about how single-family zoning contributes to the local housing crisis.
Lauster used Statistics Canada data and estimated that about one-fifth of all bedrooms in Metro Vancouver are not occupied.
