Calming demand answer to Vancouver housing woes: experts

Metro News mentioned two UBC professors in a story about housing issues in Vancouver.

Speaking at the annual Union of B.C. Municipalities (UBCM) conference, David Ley, a UBC geography professor emeritus, said government leaders should consider more taxation that targets buyers whose purchases are not supported by local incomes.

Ley was also quoted in The Province about the same topic.

Last year Thomas Davidoff, a UBC economist, presented to the UBCM and argued single family zoning needs to be loosened considerably.
