B.C. municipalities eager for finance-reform breakthrough

Maxwell Cameron, a UBC professor of political science, spoke to the Canadian Press about B.C. finance reform.

He said years of advocacy work by municipalities fell on deaf ears while the previous Liberal government was in office due to the party’s unwillingness to change the rules at the provincial level.

The CP story appeared in the National Post, CBC and Vancouver Sun.

Cameron also spoke to CBC Manitoba (also on Yahoo) about political scandals and forgiveness, saying politicians can come back from transgressions, though it’s not always clear why.
