CBC quoted Nathanael Lauster, a UBC professor of sociology, about housing guidelines that say a boy and girl over age five should not share a bedroom.
Lauster said the guideline is good when it helps families get bigger spaces but “is really problematic, because there are lots of different cultural ways of understanding how sleeping should be arranged.”
