University Affairs published an op-ed co-written by Bart De Baere, a postdoctoral research fellow in the department of earth, ocean and atmospheric sciences at UBC, about the need for a harmonized intellectual property policy.
De Baere and Elicia Maine at Simon Fraser University wrote that “for outside investors, many university IP policies represent a major disincentive to become involved.”
