NAFTA negotiations a threat to Canada’s push for universal pharmacare

The Province published an op-ed about universal pharmacare co-written by Steve Morgan, a professor at UBC’s school of population and public health.

Morgan and Ruth Lopert, a professor in the department of health policy and management at George Washington University, wrote that “the only way to ensure that all Canadians have affordable access to genuine pharmaceutical innovations is to assess each drug according to criteria that are rigorous but fair to every manufacturer.”
