If you want to sell clothes, this mannequin doesn’t help

Global reported on a UBC study co-authored by Darren Dahl, at the UBC Sauder School of Business, that suggests retailers may want to re-think using perfectly proportioned mannequins.

He said “consumers that don’t feel good about themselves, when they see this perfect mannequin, they actually are saying, ‘You know what? I’m not going to pay as much for that.’”
