King 5 reported on a study about Seattle drivers based on information collected by sensors.
The researchers found that more than one-third of drivers in the city are either searching for parking or are ridesharing drivers waiting for ride assignments.
The project, funded by a $1 million gift from Microsoft, is a partnership between UBC and the University of Washington.
