Wendy Norman, a professor in UBC’s department of obstetrics and gynaecology, was quoted in a CBC Saskatchewan story about the practice of doctors watching women ingest mifepristone for medical abortions.
She said “the evidence is clear that having the practitioner observe the woman is demeaning. It’s inappropriate.”
