Guofang Li, a UBC professor and Canada Research Chair in Transnational/Global Perspectives of Language and Literacy Education of Children and Youth, wrote an op-ed for The Conversation about how immigrant children play differently than children born in North America.
She wrote that “differences in socio-cognition or ways of thinking and behaving can affect how children from different cultures interact with each other in play.”
