Robert Rouse, a UBC professor of medieval English literature, spoke to Time Magazine about the fictional disease greyscale in the fantasy TV series Game of Thrones.
The disease has been compared to leprosy. Rouse said that leprosy is a disease with heavy connotations, including a link to sin.
