Microwave-based system takes stink out of manure management

The Vancouver Sun reported on a spin-off company from UBC that offers a solution to manure management practices on local dairy farms.

Asha Srinivasan, a post-doctoral fellow at UBC, is testing a system that uses microwave heat and hydrogen peroxide to reduce the volume and the composition of manure and sewage solids.
