Corruption and ethnic Chinese mud-slinging mar Mongolia’s vote

Julian Dierkes, a professor at UBC’s Institute of Asian Research, was quoted in a South China Morning Post story about Mongolia’s presidential vote.

He said that nothing really sets the candidates apart.

Dierkes was also quoted in an Associated Press story in the National Post.

Dierkes and Mendee Jargalsaikhan, a UBC PhD candidate in political science, also co-wrote an op-ed for The Diplomat about the role of nationalism in Mongolia’s presidential campaign.
