Academic freedom faces off with call for safety on campus

The Globe and Mail spoke to various UBC faculty, staff and students for an article about academic freedom.

Angela Redish, provost of UBC, Anthony Paré, head of UBC’s department of language and literacy education, Neil Guppy, a sociology professor and Senior Advisor to the Provosts on Academic Freedom, James Brander, a professor at the Sauder School of Business, Jennifer Berdahl, who studies gender and diversity issues in business environments at Sauder, and Dallas Hunt, a UBC PhD candidate whose research focuses on Indigenous issues, are all quoted in the story.
