The Province interviewed Andrew Trites, director of UBC’s Marine Mammals Research Unit, in a story about harbour seals eating at-risk salmon species.
He said seals seem to be selectively consuming young juvenile sockeye, coho and chinook salmon as they’re beginning adult life in the ocean.
