Growing sea cucumber demand threatening coastal communities

UPI reported on a UBC study that found growth of local sea cucumber fisheries pose a threat to the health of coastal communities.

Maery Kaplan-Hallam, a UBC environmental scientist, said the increase of the sea cucumber market has also increased pressure on other already overfished resources.
