Seniors leaving Vancouver to take advantage of housing market

A Globe and Mail article about seniors leaving Vancouver quoted two UBC professors.

Nathanael Lauster, a sociology professor, analyzed population changes and found baby boomers are the only age group that saw a net loss in moves from the area.

Penny Gurstein, the director of UBC’s school of community and regional planning, said the loss of this group means there are fewer people to volunteer and support arts-and-culture institutions.
