Bad policy has played a role in Canada’s housing crisis

Joshua Gottlieb, a professor in the Vancouver School of Economic co-wrote an op-ed for the Globe and Mail about the role of policy in Canada’s housing crisis.

Gottlieb, Kevin Bryan from the Rotman School of Management, and Joseph Steinberg from the University of Toronto, advocated for public access to real estate data, clear public statements about housing market risks, and an Australian model to collect data on foreign housing investments.
