‘Stealthing’ could be considered assault

CBC quoted Janine Benedet, a professor at UBC’s Peter A. Allard School of Law, for a story about “stealthing,” or the practice of secretly removing a condom during sex.

Benedet said a 2014 case where a man secretly poked holes in a condom confirmed that consent can be made less effective by deception if that deception puts a person at a serious risk of bodily harm.
