How North Korea’s political ideology became a de-facto religion

The Huffington Post quoted Donald Baker, a professor in UBC’s department of Asian studies, in a story about “juche,” a political philosophy in North Korea.

Baker said the unconditional loyalty juche demands has “evolved into a functional equivalent of religion.”
