The Globe and Mail reported on a UBC study that found about one third of its doctoral graduates end up working as professors, though there are stark differences in the career outcomes of graduates across different fields.
Susan Porter, the dean of graduate studies at UBC and vice-provost, said the study aimed to learn if students are being educated to be “the best they can be in the world.”
