Device tracker converts Wi-Fi data into energy savings at UBC

The Vancouver Sun reported on a pilot system tested at UBC’s Irving K. Barber Learning Centre library that matched airflow to the number of people inside to cut the cost of heating and cooling.

Energy consumption was reduced by five per cent over a one-year period.
