Discovery of cannabis genes, researchers can control flavors

Daily Mail highlighted UBC research that scanned cannabis genomes and identified compounds that produces certain flavours.

Jörg Bohlmann, a professor at UBC’s Michael Smith Laboratories and faculty of forestry, said the findings show how the cannabis industry can be similar to the wine industry, which is based on defined varieties.
