Fish evolve by playing it safe

Phys.org featured research by UBC’s Biodiversity Research Centre and the Institute for the Oceans and Fisheries that found movement patterns of tuna could change within a decade of a new marine-protected area being created.

Jonathan Mee, a study co-author and UBC zoology PhD candidate, said marine reserves are an important conservation tool.
