‘Canadian criminal justice system failing crime victims:’ Prof

Benjamin Perrin, a professor at UBC’s Peter A. Allard School of Law, was interviewed by CBC about what he says is a need for mandatory training in victim’s rights for all Canadian judges, police and criminal prosecutors.

Perrin, who worked on a three-year study examining victims of crime, said all criminal justice participants must understand the complicated issue of victim rights.

The story also appeared on Yahoo. Perrin also discussed how lower courts can assess criminal trial delays for a story in the Ottawa Citizen.
