The blurry line between drunk and too drunk

The Toronto Star interviewed Janine Benedet, a professor at UBC’s Peter A. Allard School of Law, for a story about the lack of a clear legal answer to determine when a person is too drunk to consent to sex.

Benedet found that courts tended to apply a lower standard in cases of involuntary intoxication than when a person was voluntarily intoxicated.
