A forecasting tool created by Joseph Dahmen, a professor at UBC’s school of architecture and landscape architecture, and mathematician Jens von Bergmann was featured in a Vancouver Magazine article.
They found that the key factor in determining the probability of a home being torn down in Vancouver is the ratio of the building’s value to the overall property value.
