Shernaz Bamji, a professor in UBC’s department of cellular and physiological sciences, was interviewed on CBC’s The Current about why some people could be genetically more susceptible to addiction.

Bamji discussed how research comparing people with and without drug abuse issues has shown mutations in genes that can help cells within the brain communicate with one another.
