NPR featured UBC research that found the majority of fishmeal is actually made up of fish deemed suitable for “direct human consumption.”
Tim Cashion, lead study author and research assistant at Sea Around Us, a project at UBC’s Institute for the Oceans and Fisheries, said he was expecting the study to support the idea that fishmeal contents are not suitable for humans.
