Why pain education is linked to B.C.’s fentanyl crisis

CBC interviewed Roger Wong, the executive associate dean for education in UBC’s faculty of medicine, and Kate Smolina, a postdoctoral fellow at UBC’s school of population and public health, about the role of education in dealing with the fentanyl crisis.

Wong discussed the importance of training doctors to treat patients with a holistic approach. Smolina noted that the crisis is evidence of a deeper societal problem of addiction.
