Self-compassion, growth mindset, and the benefits of failure

Psychology Today featured UBC research that shows students who reported higher levels of self-compassion were more engaged and motivated in their studies.

According to the study by the faculty of education’s school of kinesiology, these students also felt more optimistic and energetic during their first semester. Similar stories appeared in Science Daily and in the Georgia Straight.
