Vice quoted Efrat Arbel, a UBC law professor, about an agreement that prevents anyone who enters Canada by way of the U.S. from applying for refugee status.
Arbel, who is studying the Safe Third Country Agreement, said if Canada takes its refugee protection obligations seriously, the country must re-evaluate whether or not the U.S. is a safe country for refugees.
