Seeds of Alzheimer’s may be planted in the womb, UBC study

The Daily Mail featured UBC research that found a link between vitamin A deficiency early in childhood development and Alzheimer’s later in life.

Weihong Song, the Canada Research Chair in Alzheimer’s disease at UBC, said researchers discovered that vitamin A is extremely important during pregnancy for healthy brain development.
