Marvin Krank, a psychology professor at UBC’s Okanagan campus, spoke to Global about a program that teaches kids how to manage personality traits that could put them at a higher risk of drug or alcohol abuse.

Krank, who recommended the questionnaire to the Vernon School District, said the Preventure program screens for sensation seeking, anxiety sensitivity, impulsivity and negative thinking.
