High cost of pharmaceuticals: Canada’s drug problem

CBC’s The Fifth Estate featured an interview with Steve Morgan, a professor at UBC’s school of population and public health, about the need for national pharmacare in Canada.

Morgan said millions of Canadians are struggling to pay for critical drugs and the federal government should introduce a national drug plan based on evidence.

Morgan also spoke to CBC Radio’s The Current, and the Globe and Mail on the same topic. He also spoke to the Canadian Press about bilateral health deals between Ottawa and provinces.
