Weight lifting exercises may cut risks of heart disease, diabetes

The Times of India featured a study from UBC’s Okanagan campus that examined how interval weight training can help people with Type 2 diabetes.

Jonathan Little, a professor in the school of health and exercise sciences, said the research shows that simple leg exercises with weights can improve blood vessel function of people with and without diabetes.
