Introduction of peanut products urged at earlier age

Pique Magazine interviewed Edmond Chan, the head of UBC’s pediatric division of allergy and immunology, about new guidelines for reducing the risk of peanut allergy.

Chan was the only Canadian on a U.S. government panel that recommended infants should eat foods containing peanuts by the time they are six months old. He said countries like Israel, where early exposure is common, show it can be done safely.
