Threshold for B.C. homeowner grant raised to $1.6-million

Thomas Davidoff, a professor at the UBC Sauder School of Business, spoke to various media outlets about why the provincial government’s plan to increase the homeowner’s grant threshold may be poor housing policy.

Davidoff said shifting the tax burden away from people with higher value homes is not good for housing affordability.
