Historically, B.C. education reform politically controlled

A study from UBC’s Okanagan campus found that several B.C. curriculum revisions were significantly controlled by people with political power, Kelowna Capital News reported.

Catherine Broom, a UBCO education professor, examined revisions from 1937, 1968, and 1997 and learned that teachers were often excluded from the conversation.
