PBS cited research from UBC’s Indigenous Foundations website for an article on a portrait series of residential school survivors.
The website mentions a government medical inspector from 1907 that found 24 per cent of previously healthy Aboriginal children across the country were dying in residential schools, not including those who died after returning home.
