Canada ‘falls short’ in treating First Nations patients

Nadine Caron, a UBC medicine professor, said not enough is done in Canada to respect the culture of First Nations and aboriginal patients, CBC reported.

Caron, the first female indigenous surgeon in the country, said care for First Nations patients should include cultural awareness to ensure patients feel safe.
