The Kelowna Daily Courier reported on the annual engineering design competition at UBC’s Okanagan campus.
“Our first-year engineering design projects are aimed (at improving) the quality of education by means of improving space efficiency,” said Ray Taheri, an engineering professor at UBCO.
Students were tasked with building a 700-square-foot design thinking lab from containers, using inventive ideas to maximize the space.
