Kelowna’s Tree of Hope lights up for 19th year

Global reported on a $50,000 donation from Landmark Centre and TD Canada Trust to a UBC Okanagan research project that intends to build a health index of young people in Kelowna.

The donation was marked with the annual lighting of the Tree of Hope.

“Knowing what it means to grow up in this world, and the health impacts, really helps us plan and develop the right sort of interventions, the right sort of support systems, for Kelowna, for its young people,” said Ali McManus, a professor in the school of health and exercise sciences at UBC’s Okanagan campus.
