Sex scandal author Galloway speaks about university sacking

BBC and other media outlets reported on a statement released by former UBC creative writing chair Steven Galloway. Galloway confirmed that he was accused of sexual assault but said the only complaint substantiated by a former judge’s investigation was that he had an affair with a student. He apologized for his behaviour and criticized the university’s handling of the case.

The Canadian Press also reported on a statement released by a former UBC student who accused Galloway of sexual assault and said her complaint was not about a “consensual affair.”
