The Globe and Mail quoted John Schrader, a professor in UBC’s department of medicine, for an article about the possibility of a universal flu vaccine.
Schrader has published research showing that the human immune system mounts a stalk-targeting response when exposed to a flu virus with a novel hemagglutinin head.
He explained that this information could be crucial in developing an improved flu vaccine.
