The South China Morning Post published a Business in Vancouver story on the potentially strained U.S.-Canada trade relations under President Trump.
Many experts say Trump tends to say things that could affect trade relations in order to appease his supporters.
“It’s hard to know how seriously he took those promises, or whether he said them because he thought they would play well,” said Keith Head, a professor specializing in international trade at UBC’s Sauder School of Business.
