How to tackle stress

Eli Puterman, a UBC kinesiology professor, was quoted in a Canadian Living story on ways to avoid stress.

“Stress is unavoidable, but if we change how we react to or recover from it, then we can think, feel, eat and sleep better,” Puterman said. “A prolonged and heightened degree of stress can wear down our bodies and minds. In the long run, stress can contribute to high blood pressure and heart disease, and it can negatively impair our immune system and lead to sleep and digestive issues.”
