Yahoo featured a totem pole on UBC campus which will be known as the Reconciliation Pole.
UBC partnered with philanthropist Michael Audain to commission Haida artist James Hart to create the monument as a tribute to residential school victims.
Hart said he welcomes people from the community, especially children, to visit the site behind the Museum of Anthropology and help by hammering nails into the huge pole.
