Ljiljana Biukovic, a UBC law professor, discussed Canada’s free trade agreement with the European Union on Roundhouse Radio.
She discussed investor-state dispute mechanisms and some of the concerns around CETA’s investor court system.
“To the extent to which we limit our ability to regulate something the other side or the European Union would also limit,” she said. “The question is can we live with that? That’s the question we have to ask. What’s our priority and how do we really balance that?”
