The Canada West conference along with Rugby Canada and sports funding agency B2Ten, is launching a six team women’s rugby 7s circuit, The Province reported.
UBC rugby head coach Maria Gallo said the pilot project is “fantastic.”
“It just adds to our program, it solidifies our recruiting,” she said. “This is a great avenue for the late bloomer.”
